By. Alya.P, Ghina.N, Indri. O

Indonesia is currently experiencing a pandemic, one of the sectors affected by the pandemic is the education sector. The impact of this pandemic has resulted in a decline in education in Indonesia. Many teachers have difficulty in the learning process, one of which is the teaching staff must change and look for innovations in making learning strategies during this pandemic so that the learning process can run smoothly.

"Keep the spirit, whatever happens in the world of education, it will never end even though it is in a pandemic period." Mr. Isaac said.

We interviewed one of the lecturers at the Muhammadiyah University of Tangerang, we asked him some questions about the online learning strategies used to keep them effective. He explained that learning strategies during a pandemic that must be prepared are preparing RPS (Semester Learning Plans), preparing several sources so that the material taught to students does not move away from the material presented, and the online learning process, lecturers and students if using the zoom application must activate video so that learning activities are more effective and systematic.

Furthermore, he explained that based on his experience to motivate students, he always told students to keep the spirit no matter what happened, the pandemic would end. Lecturers and students must be more effective and creative in creating an online learning atmosphere. In addition, it is hoped that the material presented by the lecturer can be conveyed to students.

Then, regarding the difficulties he faced when learning online, he explained that the difficulties he personally experienced as a lecturer were when delivering material to students, some he could convey and some he couldn't convey to students.

He explained that broadly speaking, this pandemic hinders the learning process, because in Indonesia, not all regions can be facilitated by the internet, there are some areas that are difficult or have internet problems so this learning can take place if the government has prepared internet satellites for all regions.

Regarding online learning during a pandemic, it can be effective or not. He explained that this education cannot be online or online until the end of life because education is not only transferring knowledge but how education changes the attitudes and behavior of students or students. When learning online, maybe only knowledge can be conveyed but ethics or behavior cannot be conveyed and this is the main factor or obstacle that almost all lecturers or teaching staff cannot do that.

The pandemic has had a huge impact on the world of education. The learning process will never be effective during a pandemic because it has limited time and requires a smooth internet connection.

However, Pandemic greatly affected the education sector where all the learning systems that were previously carried out face-to-face became online or through home. All teaching staff must develop innovative learning strategies during this pandemic so that learning continues to run effectively.
