My Learning strategies

First, I seek the materials related to the topic. Secondly, I read material that relates to the ninth material, namely A Matter of Opinion: What an Editorial Does (Writing an Editorial / Editorial Cartoon: Drawing Cartoons) and I try to understand the material by reading carefully and seriously. While studying and reading the material, I listened to my favorite music on YouTube and eat a chocolate cake. The reason was because it made me more enthusiastic about learning and not to be sleepy while studying. Therefore, listening to music makes me more excited. Then after I finish reading the material I usually have to repeat it to remember and make sure I understand the material and I will also note the important points of the material. Finally, I finished understanding the material and do assigned tasks.

 

 Synopsis

Smith, Dianne & MJE. 2006. Introduction to Journalism, state that basically, opinion comes from the absorption of English, namely opinion which means a response or opinion on something that can be expressed in written or oral form. Therefore, for some people, there are those who prefer to express their opinions orally and there are also those who are more comfortable giving their opinions on a matter through writing.

Editorial text is one form of articles that we can find in newspapers. In writing, the editorial text is written by the editor of the relevant newspaper. In the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture's e-Module: Editorial Text, an editorial text is an article in a newspaper that contains an opinion or editorial view on an actual event or is being hotly discussed when the newspaper is published. In simple terms, an editorial text is an opinion or opinion written by the editor of a media on an actual issue in society. Well, the opinion written by this editor is considered the official view of the media on an actual issue.

 

 

Reflection  

Having read the material entitled "A Matter of Opinion: What an Editorial Does (Writing an Editorial / Editorial Cartoon: Drawing Cartoons)". I now realize that an editorial is an article that presents a newspaper's opinion on an issue. Most importantly, I have learned that editorial It reflects the majority vote of the editorial board, the newspaper's governing body is made up of editors and business managers, and the Personal column differs from editorial in that it is the opinion of the author rather than the collective opinion of the newspaper staff. They are signed, or lined. The style can be formal or informal, depending on the subject. I have significantly developed my skills in the editorial news subject. However, I have not improved my ability to write a good editorial news. This means that I have to continue to practice and learn a lot about how to create compelling and true editorial news. This skill will be essential to me as a learner because it is very useful for me to practice my writing skills. Because I did not too proficient with editorial news and how to make correct and interesting a news especially editorial news I will now need to hone my writing skills. As a next step, I need to learn more about good writing techniques in making news from various sources.
