My Learning strategies

First, I seek the materials related to the topic. Secondly, I read material that relates to the eleventh material, namely Review writing: analyzing a movie review (Reviewing a movie/an art form) and I try to understand the material by reading carefully and seriously. While studying and reading the material, I listened to my favorite music on YouTube. The reason was because it made me more enthusiastic about learning and not to be sleepy while studying. Then after I finish reading the material I usually have to repeat it to remember and make sure I understand the material and I will also note the important points of the material. Finally, I finished understanding the material and do assigned tasks.

  

Synopsis 

Smith Dianne & MJE. 2010. Introduction to Journalism, state that a review is not a report. Its primary function is to be critical. Although it does contain factual information on which the writer’s opinion is based, the focus should be on the elements the reporter found to be worthy of mentioning. A review is a short review based on analysis and facts that are useful for themselves, owners of goods or services, and the general public. Here’s the definition, types, and how to do a review. However, criticism and suggestions in the form of a review should not be done arbitrarily. Reviews can provide views on certain qualities of a work, product or service. Review aims to provide information, ideas, or descriptions that are mostly practiced in the business field, usually discussing the advantages and disadvantages of a product or service.

Reflection  

Having read the material entitled "Review writing: analyzing a movie review (Reviewing a movie/an art form)". I now realize that a review is not a report. Its primary function is to be critical.  Most importantly, I have learned that a review contain factual information on which the writer’s opinion is based, though it the focus should be on the elements the reporter found to be worthy of mentioning. I have significantly developed my skills in review writing subject. However, I have not improved my ability to write a good review. This means that I have to continue to practice and learn a lot about how to make and write good and correct review. This skill will be essential to me as a learner because it is very useful for me to practice my writing skills. Because I did not too proficient with writing review and how to make correct review I will now need to hone my writing skills. As a next step, I need to learn more about good writing techniques in making captions from various sources.
